The two words I would use to describe my friend, Robért Leblanc, are gracious and grateful. Gracious, in the sense that he strives to give everyone in his life – family, friends and team members – his presence and attention. Grateful in the sense of honoring the special and important moments in his life that shape how he shows up in the world. As a man, husband, father, friend and business owner, he is a great example of leadership.

Robért and his team at Leblanc+Smith have built a reputation of consistently developing warm and inviting experiences for visitors to New Orleans and locals alike. The Leblanc+Smith portfolio includes Sylvain, Meauxbar, Cavan, Longway, Barrel Proof and in August 2020, The Chloe. Each venue is chosen for the history and story behind the building or space. They also consider how that space will shape and influence the experience of the patrons. They serve up some of the best food, drink and ambiance the city of New Orleans has to offer.
Their vision statement is at once simple and compelling. They believe in improving the quality of people’s lives. That’s a bold statement that even the venerable Horst Schulze could very well get behind.
