I wanted to jump on here to share something I’m pretty proud of. A few years back, I got a certification to teach mindfulness and meditation, and it’s taken me until now to really do anything about it.
I’ve been a user of the Insight Timer app for a while, and now I can officially say that I am a published teacher on this platform. My first offering is a quick 5-minute meditation with the intention of helping you bring yourself back to center in times of stress or anxiety.
Even though I’ve spent years as a performing musician, event promoter and entrepreneur, I honestly had to overcome some really loud voices in my head that have been telling me, “who the hell do you think you are to teach anyone about anything?”. But I suppose if there is a “goal” of meditation, it is to notice when these voices are present and to allow them to pass through with non-attachment and non-judgement.
